Easter 2020 in the Golden Isles

Monday, April 6th, 2020

Celebrations are obviously looking very different this year. While we’re still under a shelter in place order, there are still a few ways you can get festive while supporting the local community.

In addition to nightly takeout, some restaurants are offering Easter Dinner to-go. Halyard’sCertified Burgers, A Moveable Feast and Bistro Eleven88  are all offering meals but be sure to reserve ahead of time.

Local artists like Ed Hose are helping us keep busy by offering free print outs to color. Thank you, Ed! ((Fun fact, you may recognize her work from our sold out kid’s book, The Princess and the Crab.))

Confetti Couture Events is even offering a local fundraiser called Egg Your Yard. With limited spots left, if you live locally, you can sign up to participate.

Not only will your very own Easter egg hunt be delivered, you can also help support the Kid’s Port Museum, The Firebox Initiative (donating to local F&B workers) or Safe Harbor Children’s Center.

If you’re in need of a few Easter treats, be sure to check out the cuties from St. Simons Sweets that are available for delivery.

Have any suggestions that we may have missed? Feel free to let us know!

St. Simons Sweets–  Meet with the great people at St. Simons Sweets to have custom chocolates, cookies and more made as favors for your guests. We promise after just one taste everyone will be hooked! It also makes a great pit stop in the village for some ice cream or a sweet treat.

Lighthouse Trolleys– Lighthouse Trolleys can do it all! They provide trolley transportation to and from the reception for your guests, they also offer private historic tours and even dolphin tours by boat!

Del Sur Bakery has some of the BEST pastries on the island! If you are putting together welcome bags for your out of town guests, do them a favor and talk to the folks at Del Sur to see what they can bake up for you. We promise, you won’t regret it!

Local artist Ed Hose has a small storefront in the village where you can not only meet her, but also purchase some of her wonderful artwork. Her note cards, prints and coloring books also make a great addition to welcome bags or as favors for your guests. She can also create a custom mural for your big day….or even for your wedding invitations.
