NICK DIPAOLO AT THE RITZ THEATRE: FEBRUARY 1, 2020

In this day of watered down comedy Nick Di Paolo’s brutally honest performances remind us of what great stand up should be – funny, socially relevant and a little bit reckless. His strong political opinions and razor wit make him a perfect fit for talk radio. He currently hosts “The Nick Di Paolo Show” Mondays through Thursdays and has been featured on “The Nick Di Paolo Show” on SiriusXM, and “The Nick & Artie Show” on DirectTV. He has performed on The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Conan O’ Brien. He was twice nominated for an Emmy for his writing on HBO’s The Chris Rock Show. He has also had three half hour standup specials on Comedy Central, and four one-hour specials: “A Breath of Fresh Air” (2019) and the wildly popular “Raw Nerve”, “Another Senseless Killing” and “Inflammatory”. He was one of the stars on Tough Crowd with Colin
Quinn and a stand out on many Comedy Central Roasts. Not limited to stand-up, radio and writing, he has had acting roles on FX’s Louie, Inside Amy Schumer, The Sopranos, Cop Show and CK’s critically acclaimed Horace and Pete as well as many other sitcoms.

Glynn Visual Arts celebrates Black History Month with, Sankofa: If Stitches Could Talk, a new exhibition featuring works by Atlanta artist, Tracie Lee Hawkins. This concept is evident in Hawkins’ work.

Through a series of quilts designed and created each year of the Obama Presidency as well as other historic Civil Rights themes, Hawkins documents and makes commentary on our recent history through her stitches.

Hawkins has been published in the International Review of African American Art, Hampton Virginia in 2010, and exhibited her historic Obama collection at the National Center for the Study of Civil Rights and African American Culture at Alabama State University in 2012. “The Roads Less Traveled” by Robert A. Kelterborn

Golden Isles Convention & Visitors Bureau (in association with Glynn Visual Arts): 529 Beachview Drive, St. Simons Island, GA 31522.

The 30 photographs in this show are representative of his past 50 years as an amateur photographer. The subjects are of the less noticed scenes along the back roads depicting the local vernacular. They are mostly from the South with Glynn County well represented.

Robert A. Kelterborn began photographing his surroundings during high school in Garden City, NY (1968). He studied Photographic Science and Technology and received degrees from State University of New York and Rochester Institute of Technology. During a 45-year career in the printing industry he remained an avid amateur photographer. His business travels began in the Southeastern States, allowing many opportunities to photograph the southern vernacular.

Currently he is an associate member of The South Street Photography Group of Atlanta, GA led by Chip Simone, is an Artist member of Glynn Visual Arts, and member of the Coastal Photographers Guild.
