MORGAN AND DAVID – BLACK TIE KING AND PRINCE WEDDING

One of our favorite parts of living on St Simons Island, in the heart of the beautiful Golden Isles, is that our hometown is a wedding destination for brides and grooms (from all over) — which means we get the pleasure of serving couples we would’ve never met in the first place, let alone had the privilege of being at their side on the most important day of their life.

We are so fortunate to be able to celebrate Morgan and David from the very beginning!  In case you missed it you can read about their epic Sea Island Surprise Proposal here.

We (Isaac and Amanda) started the morning on Florence Street in a brick Charleston-style, beach home framed by live oaks, ocean views, and sea breeze.  It was the perfect location for Morgan to sip on champagne and slip into her Manolo Blahnik princess shoes before the first look at the Avenue of the Oaks.   The bridal party popped champagne and cheered on the couple before walking down the aisle of St Simons United Methodist Church.

Edward on St. Simons outdid themselves with the beautiful floral ceremony backdrop of greenery and palm trees and thanks to the incredible expertise and eye of Beth of Beth Williams & Company, the day was flawless from start to finish.

From the proposal, engagement, rehearsal dinner, welcome party and wedding one theme that seemed to follow us everywhere we went (following Morgan and David) was the amount of love they shared with friends from all different parts of their life.

Morgan and David, we love the way you love your family and love the way you love your friends like family, and we felt so honored to be part of that inner circle for the weekend. We hope you love your photos as much as we loved taking them, and that each time you see them, they’d help you re-live the magic of your wedding day over and over again.

It was truly an honor, and we’re so excited for you to see a few of our many favorites!

MADI AND RHETT – KING AND PRINCE PROPOSAL

There is nothing more romantic and special to a girl than waiting for their own handsome leading man to surprise them on a bended knee with a sparkling engagement ring!

Rhett reached out to us (Isaac and Amanda) the first week of October with a destination surprise proposal plan at The King and Prince.  And, we are so thankful Rhett trusted us to help him with his plan!  As natural light photographers— you KNOW how crazy we are about good light!  Looking at the tide and sunset time, we recommended East Beach by the coastguard station nearby for the beach pictures he was looking for.  We lucked out because it was close to the house they were staying at, so when Rhett tried to convince Madi to walk to the beach with him for a private moment to read a scripture, she didn’t think twice about it and only started to wonder why he was shaking.

It’s always a big moment for us, right before a proposal.   We get such a rush of excitement, it’s the moment when the guy wears his heart on his sleeve and asks the love of his life to marry him.  It’s the moment in the movie that makes your heart skip a beat.  It’s as new and as fresh and exciting as the words “I love you” but what they are really saying is “I choose you”.

One of our favorite moments was walking into The King and Prince to see their families and closest friends there to celebrate the newly engaged couple!  Madi was so happy it brought her to smile-in-her-eye tears.  They toasted and cheered and we ended our session by popping some champagne by the jetty as the tide rolled out and the sun began to fade.

Below are just a few of our favorites!  It was so hard to choose.  Rhett truly planned the perfect proposal, and we are so honored we were able to capture it.  Congratulations again Rhett and Madi!  You have so much to look forward too!

Big Hugs and Lots of Love!

Seashell Wedding Centerpiece

Beach Wedding Centerpiece

As this classic bride demonstrated perfectly with her beautiful centerpieces, you can acheive a beach wedding theme without sand and flip flops!   Inserting a lone shell into your floral centerpiece is a fantastic idea and a great way to go coastal.
