This concert is benefiting Riley’s Soles 4 Souls! Riley’s Soles 4 Souls is a nonprofit organization that stemmed from a young girl named Riley having a dream in 2014 to send shoes to less fortunate children overseas. With help from her parents and a lot of prayer, Riley’s Soles 4 Souls has since collected and donated over 5,000 pairs of shoes to people in Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia.

CHRISTMAS VILLAGE CHURCH LANTERN CLASS: NOVEMBER 7, 2019
Your Christmas village just got a whole lot cooler (and more functional)! Inspired by the vintage villages, this lantern class yields a gorgeous glass panel lantern themed like an old church front. Customize it as you please at this class, as TT teaches you the glass fusing basics. No experience necessary! After your glass panel has been fired, it will insert into the lantern and you can add “snow” to complete the look.

The cerama-glass class is the first of it’s kind in their studio. It yields gorgeous results in a unique bowl that you can keep or gift. This nature inspired piece consists of a handmade ceramic bowl that you will paint in the studio, then decorate with a layer of fused glass. The glass melts into a crackling design to create a gorgeous, shimmering surface at the bottom of the bowl. This organic-ware bowl is approximately the size of a cereal bowl.
Each bowl made will be created from your own color choice of glass and glaze. They will seal the glass in a thin layer of resin to protect/ preserve your piece, however these bowls are decorative and not meant for food use.
This is an adult class, and (as always) our classes are BYOB & bring a friend. Classes are for beginners, so no experience needed.You must reserve a spot to attend!

GUALE PRESERVE TRAIL RUN & FUN – COMMUNITY CELEBRATION: NOVEMBER 9, 2019
Please join the Board, Staff, Ambassadors, and Volunteers of the St. Simons Land Trust for a Community Celebration of Guale Preserve, a 258-acre wilderness area on the north end of St. Simons Island with abundant ecological, historical and cultural significance.
The celebration will include the island’s first Trail Run through Polly’s Trail inside the Preserve. Participants can choose between running the loop once or twice. Following the Trail Run, guests can participate in several fun, educational activities including those for kids.
There will be NO parking at the main entrance, Middle Road. Attendees are asked to bike into the Preserve or park at Oglethorpe Point Elementary School. A trolley will drive attendees from Oglethorpe to Guale Preserve from 7:30AM-11:30AM. Runners are asked to take the first trolley at 7:30AM. The race will begin at 8:00AM sharp.
Please Note: The Trail Run is limited to 100. Early registration is therefore advised. The first 50 registrants receive a free T-shirt.

Privateer Lynx is a replica of an 1812 privateer with the same name. The ship is out of Nantucket, Mass. that is owned and operated by the Lynx Educational Foundation. Tall Ship Lynx is a well respected and famous Top Sail Schooner Tall Ship. The Lynx mission is to teach the youth about maritime history during the 1812 war when was fighting for our independence and for fair trade.
The ship will be open to the public offering free dockside Deck Tours, along with offering their award-winning educational programs to schools and youth groups. The ship will be at Morningstar Marina will make a grand arrival November 10. RUSTIC NATIVITY CLAY CLASS: NOVEMBER 14, 2019
Nativity scenes come in all shapes, styles, and sizes! In this class we will create a nesting scene from clay that involves Joseph, Mary and of course baby Jesus. The plot concerns the town’s historic cemetery, which has protected the identity of a brutal murderer, whose act of betrayal changed the course of the town’s history. Eight generations later, a Bostonian, Kate Covington, in Midway to film a documentary, uncovers the truth about the murder and eventually changes the town’s history and Kate’s future as well.

In 2010, the Davis Love Foundation partnered with the PGA TOUR to become the Host Organization of The RSM Classic, an Official PGA TOUR Event. The inaugural event occurred in October 2010 and currently holds a title sponsor contract with RSM, the nation’s leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, through 2020. Over the first eight years, The RSM Classic has raised more than $9 million to support charities focused on children and families in need. B-17 AT THE ST. SIMONS ISLAND AIRPORT: DATES VARY BETWEEN NOVEMBER 23, 2019 – NOVEMBER 24, 2019
The fully preserved B-17 Aluminum Overcast heavy bomber will make the last stop of this year’s national tour when it visits the St. Simons Island Airport on November 22-24, 2019. The 75-year-old warbird is one of a fleet of historic planes owned by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), a national organization dedicated to supporting the love of aviation, and sharing that passion with others. Local EAA Chapter 905, based at the St. Simons Island Airport, is host organization for the tour stop.
The aircraft is now more than 90 percent accurate to its wartime construction, with allowances for updated technology in such areas as navigation and brakes. When it is not touring the country, Aluminum Overcast is on display at the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Tours can be accessed at the EAA chapter hangar located at 1797 Demere Road, St. Simons Island. Ground tours of Aluminum Overcast are available from 2-5- PM on November 22-24. EVENING LIME RICK BURN AND CANDLE LIGHT TOUR: NOVEMBER 23, 2019
Watch as staff members from Fort Frederica National Monument light the night with the annual burning of the lime rick and candlelight tour of the town site. The program will begin near the park’s visitor center. The lighting of the lime rick is dependent on weather conditions.
Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with some of the residents of Frederica town during a candlelight tour after the burning of the lime rick. At the end of the program, there will be a black powder weapon firing demonstration.

THE RSM CLASSIC CONCERT FEATURING COLE SWINDELL: NOVEMBER 23, 2019
America’s country star Cole Swindell will be taking the stage on Saturday, November 23rd at the St. Simons Island Airport! Since The RSM Classic Concert Event sponsored by Southeast Georgia Health System began in 2011, it has showcased some of the most recognizable names in the music industry including country music superstars Martina McBride, Darius Rucker, Toby Keith, and Gary Allan. WOBBLE B4U GOBBLE 5K: NOVEMBER 28, 2019
Join for the third annual Wobble B4U Gobble 5K and Fun Run! Enter the costume contest also for a chance to win some great prizes. All proceeds directly benefit the Risley Annex PTA to Include the students at Morningstar Academy and Glynn Learning center.

Historic Downtown Brunswick will see a lot of faces during the Christmas Tree Lighting. Our Christmas tree will be lighted at Jekyll Square East, between Ned Cash Jewelers and Tipsy McSway’s on Newcastle Street. With restaurants staying open late, businesses participating in the lighted window decorating contest, Christmas carols, horse driven carriage rides, and a visit from Santa we will have a beautiful night to remember!

HEADLINER: Al Ernst
Al Ernst has been named Carnival Cruise Lines “Entertainer of the Year,” which is saying something when Carnival fills more than 5,000 entertainment gigs a year. Al has performed hundreds of corporate gigs over the years, which he credits to his ability to combine rudimentary motivational speaking with non-confrontational humor. He has been a Professional Wrestling announcer and hosted of his own show, “A View from the Cheap Seats.” His TV credits include all major networks and cable from CNN, TNN, ESPN, A&E, Comedy Central and HBO.
OPENING ACT: Paul Jensen
Comedian Paul Jensen hailing from St. Louis, has learned to take life’s hard knocks and use it to fuel his comedy. He grew up as the only American citizen in his family which made for an interesting childhood. Never the class clown, Paul was the quiet kid who never fit in. This helped him develop a quick wit which he used to deal with life’s problems. After running his own business for years, getting married and starting a family he decided on a whim to try stand-up comedy. It turned out to be the one place where he fit in perfectly! After winning several comedy contests Paul began performing at clubs and theaters throughout the country. His comedy act comes from real life and is funny, never filthy. He is the total package… as long as you want a package that’s middle-aged, chubby and balding.
