First Friday in Downtown Brunswick: Friday, September 5th- Take a stroll down Newcastle Street & Gloucester Street in downtown Brunswick and visit the shops, restaurants and galleries that call the port city home. There will be live music from local musicians, restaurant specials and art openings.

Rhythm on the River: Sunday, September 14th- Enjoy live music at Mary Ross Waterfront Park featuring the Parker Urban Band in Brunswick from 6-8pm. Bring the kids and pack a picnic dinner. Admission is $10 per adult, 15 & under free.

Eco Lecture Series at Village Creek Landing: Tuesday, September 16th. Bar opens at 5pm, lecture begins at 6pm. The guest speaker will talk about environmental topics and preserving Georgia’s coast. Admission is $10 and space is limited. Please RSVP by visiting VillageCreekLanding.com.

Jazz in the Park featuring Michael Hulett: Sunday, September 21st 7-9PM. Presented by the Golden Isles Arts & Humanities, Jazz in the Park is one of the most popular events on St. Simons Island. Bring a picnic and your friends and spend the evening listening to live music next to the ocean and underneath the light house! Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12 and children under 6 are free.

End of Summer Arts & Crafts Show: Saturday & Sunday, August 23rd & 24th from 10am to 5pm at Postell Park on St. Simons Island. Arts and crafts vendors from around the Southeast will be selling their hand made pottery, paintings, jewelry, art and much more!

Jazz in the Park featuring Sam Rodriguez Latin Jazz: Sunday, August 24th 7-9PM- Presented by the Golden Isles Arts & Humanities, Jazz in the Park is one of the most popular summertime events on St. Simons Island. Bring a picnic and your friends and spend the evening listening to live music next to the ocean and underneath the light house! St. Simons Island Antique Show: Saturday & Sunday,August 30th & 31st from 9am to 5pm- Antique dealers from across the Southeast will be under the oaks in Postell Park by the Pier. Admission and parking are free!

“A Little Light Music” Featuring Sensational Sounds of Motown: August 31st, 7pm on the lighthouse lawn. Bring your friends and family, pack a picnic and enjoy an evening under the stars while listening to live music at the ocean’s edge. Admission is $12 per person. Children under 12 are free.

St. Simons Island July 4th Sunshine Festival: Friday, July 4th- Sunday, July 6th 10AM to 5PM- An island tradition for over 60 years, the sunshine festival is a great way to celebrate the 4th! Located in the pier village, the festival features arts & crafts vendors selling pottery, paintings, photography and jewelry! The festival also has children’s activities, live music, a golf cart parade, family movies and of course, fireworks on the 4th!

Georgia Sea Island Festival: Saturday & Sunday, June 7th & 8th at Gascoigne Park- This annual festival celebrates the African American traditions, crafts and food of Georgia’s barrier islands. For more information, visit their website.

The 24th Annual Golden Isles Family Fishing Event: Saturday, June 7th from 8:30am to 12pm- Bring the family out to the Sidney Lanier Fishing Pier for a morning of fishing and family fun! There will be free food and free rods and tackle boxes for all participants! The event is free of charge for the first 125 registered children ages 5-12. Second Sunday at Gascoigne Bluff: June 8th from 1-7pm- Grab your family and friends and head out to the park for an afternoon of live music underneath majestic oak trees. There will be raffles, activities for the kids and of course, lots of fun! Each month, second Sunday benefits a local charity.

Reelin’ In A Cure Tripletail Tournament: Saturday, May 10th- This popular American Cancer Society benefit takes place at Morningstar Marina. The cost to participate in the fishing tournament is $100 per person. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish and the most fish. Following the tournament, there will be a party with live music beginning at 5pm. Tickets to the party are sold separately and are $35 per person or $65 per couple.
