St. Simons Island is rich in history and charm. It’s no wonder island residents and visitors fall in love with the area so quickly! Learn more about our little slice of paradise and the reasons you should visit (if you haven’t already).

A. The Atlantic Ocean– Just steps from our resort you can dip your toes into the water of the Atlantic Ocean. Along with being able to hear the ocean from your room, there are miles of unspoiled beaches to explore and great fishing, sailing and paddleboarding.

B. Pristine Beaches– The island is home to miles of pristine beaches which visitors are able to enjoy year round due to the mild climate.

C. Southern Charm– From the Spanish moss draped oaks, to the quaint shops in the village and the friendliness of everyone you meet, it is clear from the moment you step foot on the island that Southern charm is alive and well!

D. We love dogs!– Did you know that St. Simons Island is only one of a handful of places in Georgia and Florida where you can enjoy the beach with your dog? From Labor Day until Memorial Day, leashed dogs are permitted on the beach at any time. From Memorial Day until Labor Day, leashed dogs are permitted on the beach between First Street and Mallery Street after 6pm.

E. Easy Access To The Island– Located just a short drive from I-95 and right between Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL, the island is easily accessible by car. For those traveling from further away, the Brunswick Airport is an ideal (and convenient) spot to fly into.

F. Fort FredericaThis centuries old fort is located at the northern end of the island was established in 1736 and still stands today as a testament to the dreams, struggle, victory and defeat of the early colonists. If you visit the fort, there are ranger-led tours and re-enactments that take place throughout the year. While learning about the history of the fort, you will take in breathtaking views of the marsh and see many coastal birds. The fort is open 7 days a week from 9am-5pm except for certain holidays.
